The Galleria d'Arte San Barnaba, founded in 1985 by Francesco Gatto, specialises in buying and selling antiques with a focus on 19th and 20th century Italian paintings. In addition to participating in antiques exhibitions, it offers free valuations of works.
Since 2009, his son Daniele Gatto has expanded the catalogue to include works of contemporary art. The gallery has an extensive presence in Italy and parts of Europe.
